Creative Cuppa

A creative wellbeing session for people living with dementia and those experiencing loneliness.

Creative Cuppa is our series of creative wellbeing sessions for people living with dementia (+ their carers) and those experiencing loneliness, hosted by lovely Creative Facilitator Jenn Bell, with support from Mark and Ang.

Sessions are fun and gentle, to include storytelling, poetry, music and imagination. Come for a cuppa, a chat and an opportunity to meet new people and exercise your creativity in ways that will help you feel wonderful.

Sessions are on the last Thursday of the month from 1:30-3pm. You don’t have to attend every session to take part. Places are FREE with refreshments (cake!) but limited due to space. Please get in touch if you’d like to book.

If you are interested in finding out how Jenn facilitates workshops, you can read an interview with her on the British Society of Gerontology website linked here.

I live alone and have recently moved to Appleby where I don’t know many people. I have also suffered declining health and have become increasingly housebound. Creative Cuppa gets me out socialising and involved in creative activities. Good conversation and singing a real boost!

What a wonderful group! Lovely bunch of folk, keeps mum engaged as her dementia worsens, singing really helps to stimulate and tea and cake is the best. Thank you.
