We had a wonderful time at our Coronation Celebrations on Sunday 7th May. Thank you so much to everyone who came out in the sunshine and celebrated with us and to Julia, Patti and Jenny for organising the activities.

What’s On In Morland
Sunday 7th May
Morning (10am until 1pm):
Recycled Hat and Fascinator Workshop
@ The Studio Morland
Join us for a free craft workshop inspired by King Charles’s environmentalist roots. Led by Jenny Brook, people of all ages are invited to come and make impressive recycled hats and fascinators fit for a Royal Party!
Afternoon (1pm onwards):
Street Party: Lunch and Hat Competition
The Street Party will begin with a shared lunch near the beck by Lowergate (or village hall if wet) followed by the judging of the Homemade Hat Competition at 2pm, with two prizes being awarded for the best hats. Those with a hat for the competition should meet in the Pub Garden - these can be made during the morning workshop or made at home.
Tickets for the lunch are free (donations on the day appreciated) but must be booked in advance via Patti Dawson or Julia Evans- contact us if you don't have their details and would like to be put in touch. Bring your own chair or blanket!
Evening (7pm til late):
Party Time
@ The Village Hall
Time for a knees up! Join us at the Village Hall for a good old party with Live Music from MUGs and The Hoo. Tickets for the Evening Event are £7.50 - available from Patti Dawson or Julia Evans - contact us if you don't have their details and would like to be put in touch. BYOB.
The Annual Duck Race will be on Monday 8th May at 2.30pm at the Mill Race. Ducks are available to buy now from Julia Evans (and also from 1.30pm in the pub garden) - £1.00 per duck.
